Authorship and Contributorship
Authorship and Contributorship
Jurnal Teologi Pambelum recognizes authorship based on substantial intellectual contributions to a scholarly work. All individuals listed as authors must have made meaningful contributions to the research or manuscript and must take responsibility for their respective contributions.
To qualify for authorship, each individual must meet the following criteria:
- The person made a substantive contribution to the conception or design of the work, to the collection of data or materials, or to the analysis or interpretation of the findings.
- The person drafted the manuscript or revised it critically for important intellectual content.
- The person approved the final version submitted to the journal and any substantive revisions made afterward.
- The person accepts accountability for the work, and agrees to cooperate in answering questions about the accuracy and integrity of any part of it.
All listed authors must agree to the submission of the manuscript, the list and order of author names, the contribution statement, the designation of the corresponding author, and any substantive revisions to the manuscript. The order of author names must be determined collectively by all authors based on their respective contributions and the norms of their discipline. Jurnal Teologi Pambelum does not infer the extent of an author's contribution from their position in the author list. A statement indicating equal contributions among authors is permitted, provided that it accurately reflects their contributions and is agreed upon by all authors.
Upon submission, the corresponding author must ensure that the names, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors are entered completely in the submission metadata. The names and order of authors in the metadata must match those in the manuscript. Each author must understand the work as a whole and know who is responsible for each part of it.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors meet the authorship criteria and approve the submitted manuscript. Any changes to the author list or the order of authors after submission must be approved by all authors concerned and communicated to the editor of Jurnal Teologi Pambelum.
Individuals who contribute to the manuscript but do not meet all authorship criteria may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section, with their consent. Their specific contributions should be described where appropriate.
Honorary authorship, gift authorship, guest authorship, and ghost authorship are not permitted. Individuals who do not meet the authorship criteria must not be listed as authors. Conversely, individuals who meet the authorship criteria must not be excluded from the author list.
