Restored in Christ: Reviving the Image of God That Has Been Damaged for the Youth of GPdI Elshaday Natar

This Community Service Program (PkM) was conducted at GPdI El-Shadday Natar under the theme “Restored in Christ: Reviving the Image of God That Has Been Damaged.” The program aimed to help Christian youth understand their identity based on the concept of Imago Dei (the Image of God) and the restoration provided through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. The background of this activity was the various challenges faced by young people in the digital era, including the influence of social media, peer pressure, and modern culture, which often shape identity based on appearance, popularity, and social acceptance. The program employed a qualitative descriptive approach through participant observation, interactive seminars, Bible study sessions, group discussions, and questionnaire-based evaluations. Approximately 20 young members of GPdI El-Shadday Natar participated in the activity. The results indicated that participants actively engaged in all sessions and demonstrated enthusiasm throughout the program. Based on the questionnaire evaluation, most participants showed an increased understanding of human beings as the Image of God, the impact of sin on human identity, and the restoration available through Christ. Furthermore, the program strengthened the spiritual development of church youth and served as an implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education for students of STT Mawar Saron Lampung in the area of community service.
